Doris Anderson is a largely self-taught watercolourist. Born September 17, 1934 in Sandpoint, Idaho, she moved to Montana as a child. She has always been influenced by the land and even early artistic efforts were an attempt to share that love. She was married in 1955 to a wheat farmer and developed an even stronger feel for the land. During this time of raising four sons, art was in the background but never far away.
