Biography from AskART:
| From Saxton's River, Vermont, Eric Aho paints the landscape there as well as in the Southwest, Ireland, Scandinavia, and Russia. He is a plein-air painter who earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in etching and printmaking from the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, a post-graduate degree from the Institute of Art and Design in Lahti, Finland, and a diploma in advanced printmaking studies from the Central School of Art and Design in London.
He has received grants from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts and had a Fulbright Scholarship to Finland.
At first, he limited himself to graphic arts but started painting landscapes in Vermont. Of his work, he says: "The views I paint over the Connecticut River Valley offer me a daily opportunity for personal reflection as I look west from my childhood home of New Hampshire to what is now my adult home in Vermont." (Mayo, 1)
