 Richard Edwin Brooks (1865-1919)
Born in Braintree, Massachusetts in 1865. He was a pupil of T.H. Bartlett in Boston; Jean-Paul Aube and Jean Jalabert at the Colarossi Academy, Paris. Awarded Honorable Mention, Salon of 1895; and medal, Third Class, Salon of 1899. In 1900 he was living in Paris.
