This biography from the Archives of AskART:
The following, submitted June 2004, is from Judith Church Tydings, collector of the artist's work from Ijamsville, Maryland. Her source is the obituary of the artist from "The Courier-Gazette", in Rockland, Maine, Oct. 28, 1997, which says that William Bryant died October 21, 1997.

"The obit says he was born in Bradford, Mass., May 30, 1902. He was educated
in Haverhill, Mass., at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts school, and at the Art Students League in New York City. His teachers included W.M. Chase, Philip Hale, Frank Vincent Dumond and George Luks. His first paintings were made in Port Clyde, Maine, in 1923 with Chase and with N.C.Wyeth.

The Haverhill Public Library (Massachusetts) has a cityscape of that community Bryant painted in the 1930s. I contacted the library and they do have it hung in the director's office now."
