George Fisher Daniels
1821-1879
George Fisher Daniels — sometimes listed as G. F. Daniell — was a
painter of landscapes, towns, pastoral scenes, and panoramas. He
was born in 1821 and died in 1879 and was an active artist from 1867 to
1877. In 1868 his listed address was Oxford, MA.
Daniels exhibitions include the Boston Athenaeum in 1866 and 1878; the
National Academy of Design in 1867 and 1868; and two oil paintings at
the Boston Art Club in 1875 and 1877. Daniels work is represented in
the Worcester Art Museum in Worcester, MA
Special Note: The Smithsonian has his death year listed as 1897, but Davenports and Who Was Who... has it listed as 1879.
