Known primarily for his dog subjects, Dennis Morgan did the Scotties for the Black & White Whiskey ads. He was born in Boston and lived on Long Island, New York, and in Key West, Florida where he lived on a houseboat, "The Sea Dog". One of his murals, "The Dog House", is in the bar and lounge of the Sheraton Russell Hotel in New York. He was also an author and illustrator, and his publications include: "Pup Himself", 1943; "Burlap", 1945; and "Morgan Dennis Dog Book".
