CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Following his retirement in 1991 from the University of Wyoming Art
Department, where he had taught since 1953, Richard Evans has continued
to work tirelessly in his Laramie studio. Recently, he produced a
series of ten large-scale paintings that are complex constructs of
historical figures, actors, writers, musicians, and even cartoon
characters—some are famous, some infamous.
These paintings were exhibited in 2004 in the solo show
Celebrations/Point-Counterpoint at the University of Wyoming Art Museum
in Laramie and at the Curfman Gallery at Colorado State University in
Fort Collins, CO.
