Born on July 30, 1929, in London, England, Donald Hamilton Fraser studied at St Martin’s School of Art, London from 1949 to 1952, and gained a French Government Scholarship to Paris in 1953 where he lived and worked for two years from 1953 to 1954. In 1957 he became Visiting Tutor at the Royal College of Art, London, where he remained until 1983. Fraser has had numerous solo exhibitions throughout the UK, Europe, the United States and Japan. His first solo show was held in 1953 (showing 500 of 2746 characters). |
