A long-time wildlife artist, Gwen Frostic worked in several mediums and also has written poetry. Thanks to her generosity, a garden has been dedicated in her name to the Frederick Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Gwen passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 25, 2001.
She was born April 26, 1906 in Sandusky, Michigan to Fred W. and Sara (Alexander) Frostic.
