William A. Foley Jr. served in the U.S. Army’s 302nd Infantry Regiment of the 94th Infantry Division in Patton’s 3rd Army in WWII. He participated in the campaign to reach and then cross the Rhine River in 1945 after the Battle of the Bulge.
