| Born in Los Angeles, CA on Aug. 11, 1910. Gorham grew up on a ranch in Ojai, CA. He received his degree in art at UC Berkeley where he was a pupil of Chiura Obata. He moved to Santa Barbara in the 1930s to establish an advertising agency with his wife, Marie. His art career was interrupted by WWII when he served in the Navy. After the war he returned to Santa Barbara where he served two terms as president of the local art association and was a founding member of the Santa Barbara Art Instit (showing 500 of 1063 characters). |
