| Born in Guthrie, Kentucky, Daniel Holland was a cartoonist for several newspapers, with most of his career spent in Chicago working for the "Chicago Tribune."
He worked for the "Nashville Banner" in Tennessee from 1939 to 1941, the "Washington Times-Herald" from 1950 to 1954, the "Chicago Tribune" from 1945-1950 and 1954-72, and then became chief cartoonist for the "Tribune." From 1946, he also taught at the Chicago Academy of Fine Art. |
