| Mary Sorrows Hughes is a signature member of the Southwestern Watercolor Society and Watercolor West. The artist's paintings are included in the "Best of Watercolor" books published in 1995 and 1998 by Rockport Publishers, Inc. and "Splash 7: A Celebration of Light" by North Light Books, 2002.
The artist is a graduate of Centenary College, Shreveport, Louisiana with a B.A. in Art.
