Biography from AskART:
Known primarily as an illustrator of magazines including "Harpers", "Scribners" and "Saturday Evening Post", Thomas Hanna was born in Missouri and lived in Connecticut.

He studied at Yale University and at the Art Students League with Kenyon Cox, Irving Wiles, Charles Reinhardt, and John Carlson. After a long career in illustration, he turned exclusively to fine art painting, and one of his paintings is in the National Gallery of Art in Sydney, Australia.

He was a member of the Old Lyme Art Association and exhibited widely including in Florida at Palm Beach and Clearwater.
