John Stuart Ingle, painter of ultra-meticulous watercolor still-lifes of fruit, glassware and crockery, was born in 1933. He describes his approach to painting: "I don't want to make arbitrary changes in what I see to paint the picture, I want to paint what is given. The whole idea is to take something that's given and explore that reality as intensely as I can."
Ingle received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting in 1964, and Master of Fine Arts degree in painting in 1966, both (showing 500 of 1171 characters). |
