A cartoonist, Robert Kane ws born in New York City and studied at the Art Students League, and Cooper Union. He created the popular comic strip 'Batman" and popular heroes Robin, Joker, Riddler, and Cat Woman. He also drew gag cartoons such as "Jest Laffs" and "Peter Pupp".He was the supervisor for the Batman comic strip for many years and died in Los Angeles in 1998.
