| Jerome Kirk was born in Detroit, MI in 1923. Afer serving in World War Two he obtain a degree in mechanical engineer from MIT. Influenced by Alexander Calder, David Smith and Harry Bertoia, his abstract work has set new standards in kinetic sculpture. Since the 1960s he has been based in Los Angeles.
