Thomas Kinkade (1958-2012)
Best known for his use of light in his paintings, Thomas Kinkade grew
up in Northern California in the small town of Placerville, and has
been a published artist since the late 1980s.
During college, he spent a summer sketching with a friend, and they created the book The Artist's Guide to Sketching, which opened the door for them to paint background art for the animated film "Fire and Ice",
in which Kinkade explored the use and effects (showing 500 of 3074 characters). |
