In the 1990s, he did a series of paintings titled "Once Upon A Time in the West," over 150 canvases, based on the Western epic of Italian filmmaker Sergio Leone. Many of his subjects are mysterious, unpeopled views of stone barns, towers and combine realism with mysterious abstractions.
