A painter and sculptor known for his 'Old West' images as well as female forms and landscapes of Italy, Spain, France and Jerusalem, Maher Morcos focuses on depicting beauty, elegance and romance of 'times gone by'. 

He was born in Egypt to an Italian father and Egyptian mother, and holds degrees in fine arts and architecture.  He is also regarded as an accomplished saxophone player.

His work is in the collection of the White House in Washington DC, McDonald's Corporation, National Teacher's Association, Merrill Lynch, Buck and Abbott Laboratories, Phillips Petroleum, Burger King and Funk and Wagnalls, Inc. 
Among his private collectors are President and Mrs. Ronald Reagan, Jack Palance, Anthony Quinn and King Khalid of Saudi Arabia.

Awards include Best of Show in Sculpture in 1980 at the 1980 Charles Russell Show, and Best of Show for Sculpture and Gold Medal for Oil Painting that same year at the Phippen Museum in Prescott, Arizona.  His 16 Foot Bronze Monument of the late Tommy Hernandez (San Diego) is at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.

He is a member of the San Diego Watercolor Society.
