Marshall Merritt was born on August 28, 1904. For many years he maintained a studio in Willits, California. While his studio was located in Willits, he spent as much as four months each year painting the landscapes and seascapes of the Monterey Peninsula. An impressionist painter, he specialized in oil renditions of the California coast.
During his career he exhibited at the De Young Museum in San Francisco, the Mendocino County Fair, the Artist's Guild of America in Carmel, California, t (showing 500 of 1310 characters). |
