| | Painter, ceramist. Born in Szenstochowa, Poland on Sept. 1, 1909. Pillin immigrated to Chicago in 1924. She studied there at the AIC and Jewish Peoples Institute. She was based in Santa Fe, NM during the 1930s but made painting trips to California. Leaving Chicago in 1948, she settled in Los Angeles where she remained until her death on July 25, 1992. Exh: SFAA, 1939; AIC, 1947, 1948; SFMA, 1948; LACMA, 1948, 1950; Oakland Museum, 1950; Calif. State Fair, 1951 (prize).
