Gyrth Russell RBA, RI, ROI, RSMA (1892 – 1970)
Gyrth Russell was an expatriate Canadian painter, illustrator,
draughtsman, author, commercial artist, printmaker, and war artist.
Though he spent most of his life in the British Isles, he established a
distinguished reputation early in his career in Canada, and
consequently has numerous works in several important museum collections
there.
