Raised in Dallas, Texas, and later settling in Phoenix, Arizona, Robert
Redbird, Sr. is a painter who uses stories, many of them learned from
his grandfather, of his Kiowa culture, as the subjects for his
artwork. He also works as a welder, auto mechanic and auto-body
painter, gospel singer and Pentecostal minister.
His mediums include oil, acrylic, pen and ink, gouache and pencil, and
his commission work includes painting and sculpture for the Anadarko
High School (showing 500 of 982 characters). |
