Biography from AskART:
| Angel Ramiro Sanchez, born in 1974 in Maracaibo, Venezuela, is a realist artist whose art career began when he was relatively young.
He started studying painting at 14 years old and moved to Florence, Italy at age 19. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Accademia di Belle Arti in 1997. While at Belle Arti, Ramiro also studied at Daniel Graves' atelier-styled Florence Academy of Art (FAA). Sanchez is now the senior painting instructor at the FAA. This allows him time to pursue his own work in a private studio.
Ramiro's paintings combine the accuracy of academic realism, with a passion for laying paint on the canvas. His portraits and landscapes evoke qualities last seen at the turn of century from another expatriate painter of Florence, John Singer Sargent.
Ramiro's paintings also show an intense attention to the relevant details (proportion, line, and shape), but a creative and often expressive approach to completing the paintings. Ramiro always works from life, and his works are in private collections in Italy, Germany, England, Hungary, the United States, Canada and Venezuela.
