The following is from Phyllis G. Roche of Oceanside, CA : She wrote the following to the Frick Museum:
Artist b.1858 d.1912 - listed in "Artist Bluebook" -"Index to Artistic
Biography" by Patricia Havlice. Christies & Sothebys have had his work for auction. I have a family heirloom oil by this artist and have no intention to sell. I would like to know where he was born and any other interesting info. I would appreciate any advice on how to search in Italy, since the Havlice book refers (showing 500 of 2081 characters). |
