While known internationally for his architecture and his concept of "arcology" architecture in accord with the environment, Paolo Soleri is also an artist whose works on paper are rarely exhibited.
Soleri built "Arcosanti" a planned community located in Cordes Junction, Arizona. Soleri's project is a model for his concept of architecture built in harmony with the environment. While built from local materials, the community was also designed to minimize the use of energy, especially fossil (showing 500 of 1321 characters). |
