| Painter, etcher, designer, printer.
Born in Sacramento, CA on June 17, 1871.
Taylor settled in San Francisco at an early age and in 1896 established Taylor & Taylor Printers (the firm produced high quality printing and closed two years before his death). While working as a printer, he studied painting under Armin Hansen and Gottardo Piazzoni. During the 1930s he worked for the Federal Art Project. Taylor died in San Francisco on Nov. 7, 1962.
