This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Danny Williams is a native of Texas. He received a BA degree in Anthropology from Southern Methodist University in 1972, and received a MA degree in Painting from the University of Iowa, Iowa City in 1976.  In 1977-1978, he had a Fulbright-Hayes Grant for Art Studies in India, and in 1980-1981, he had a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, Individual Artist's Fellowship.

As of April 1991, his work was included in the following public collections: Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Atlantic Richfield Co. of Dallas, Carnegie Trust of Pittsburgh, Chase Manhattan Bank of New York, Dallas Museum of Art, Frito-Lay Corp. of Dallas, San Antonio Art Museum, and Solomon Guggenheim Museum of New York.

Submitted by TB Willis, whose source is a four-page brochure for a solo exhibition of paintings by Danny Williams at The Art Center of Waco, Texas, April 18-May 26, 1991
