|  A native of Cleveland, Ohio, in 1991, she earned a BA from Bennington College. She spent ten days in Kuwait photographing and sketching the oil fires set at the end of the Gulf War for a series of paintings, "The Fires of War," about the event. She has held two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships and has been a college professor in Manhattan at Hunter College. |
