Known for society portrait painting, Clarence Busch worked in Philadelphia, Boston and New York City. He also did mural painting and depicted figural subjects including ballet dancers. He was born in Philadelphia, but spent most of his career in Babylon, New York with summers in York Harbor, Maine.
