| Guillermo Kuitca is best known as a painter and director of theater
productions. For the Opera House at the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts, he designed the stage curtain, two panels 67 feet wide and 40 feet in height. Of this project, he spoke of the curtain before a performance, having its own 'moment'. He said: "The curtain reminds us of where we are. When it is lifted, we are no longer there." (Dreishpoon, 155). The drawings, titled Dallas Suite, were complete (showing 500 of 2009 characters). |
