| Born in Australia in 1871, Blashki studied art at the Melbourne Gallery School. Leaving Sydney in 1898 with his friend Francis McComas, the two artists set sail for America. Blashki left the ship in Hawaii and worked for a few months as an illustrator for the Honolulu Evening Bulletin before sailing to San Francisco. Upon arrival, he continued in that line of work for about six months for the Examiner. He then moved to NYC and on a trip to England married into (showing 500 of 1217 characters). |
