This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Born in Yonkers, New York, Andrew Butler lived in both Yonkers and
Walpole, New Hampshire. He was a student at the Art Students
League of Frank DuMond, Luis Mora and Joseph Pennell, and exhibited at
the Salons of America, the Society of Independent Artists, and the
Whitney Museum of American Art.
Some of his prints are in the collection of the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris.
The Art Digest, 5/15/1934 refers to his Arizona paintings.
