| The artist was born in and currently resides near San Antonio, Texas. Cavin strongly believes that art should work for the betterment of the community; therefore, his work is frequently found in charity benefit shows. The artist has also participated in cultural exchanges in Mexico and Japan. He studied under notable artists such as Warren Hunter, George Hughey, William Reese and Wilson Hurley.
