| Primarily a portrait painter, Jacob Fletcher lived on the East Coast and in the Midwest, first in Boston, then Portland, Maine (1875), and then in Columbus, Ohio by 1877. He also spent time in Washington DC.
In 1858 and 1874, he exhibited at the Boston Athenaeum, and in the 1850s and early 1860s, he worked as a clerk and artist in Boston. |
