| Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he studied at the Maryland Art Institute, the Art Students League of New York, the Acadamie Julian in Paris, and with sculptor Augustus St. Gaudens.
He was a member of the National Sculpture Society and the American Art Association in Paris. His work, "Enoch Pratt Memorial" is in Baltimore and the Admiral Schley statue is in the State House in Annapolis.
He lived primarily in New York City but retired to Florida and died in Rome, Italy in 1959.
