| | Born and raised in northern Wisconsin, hunting, fishing, and skiing into remote areas brought him close to nature. He earned a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, worked for the U.S. Forest Service as a biologist, and then relocated to Colorado where he did many paintings of the Rocky Mountains. He settled in Los Angeles, California where he does much plein aire painting of the Santa Monica Mountains as well as the beaches and parks. He is a member of The Pastel Society of America, the Oil Painters of America and the California Arts Club. |
