| Born in Long Beach, California, Jackie Bowker is a painter of
large-scale, highly realistic landscapes. She attended Bolsa
Grande High School in Garden Grove, California, and took art lessons
from Isabelle Satterthwaite. At age sixteen she earned a gold
medal for scholastics, the Hallmark Art Award.
In 1965, she
married Ned Bowker, and they settled in Palm Desert, California where
they raised five children and she continued her career as a fine art
painter. |
