| Based in Portland, Oregon, he has gained distinction for his highly realistic botanicals, many of them single flowers such as iris, which he does with an airbrush watercolor technique that allows him a sophisticated layering effect.
He earned a B.F.A from Washburn University of Topeka, Kansas, and an M.F.A. from the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. He has taught art classes at Clark College in Vancouver, Washington; at the Community College in Portland, Oregon; and at the University of Idaho. |
