|  Born in the Ukraine of the Soviet Union, expressionist painter Yuri Skorupsky emigrated to Chicago in 1992. He attended the L'viv Academy of Art in the Ukraine and received a master's degree from National University of Fine Arts in Moscow.
He is a plein-air painter, who layers color for a chiaroscuro effect that produces a sense of much depth. |
