| A painter and illustrator of German origin, he settled in the Washington DC area and was active there in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He painted primarily agricultural subjects, and many of his paintings are in the collection of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
His work is also on view at the National Arboretum, the Fruit Laboratory and the National Agricultural Library in Beltsville Maryland. |
