A painter, illustrator and teacher, Adeleine Wolever was born in
Belleville, Ontario, Canada in 1886. She studied with Edmund C.
Tarbell, Frank W. Benson, William MacGregor Paxton, Charles H.
Woodbury, and George L. Noyes. She did theatre drawings for the Boston
Evening Transcript. Her work was included in the Charles Woodbury and
His Students, a show curated by the Ogunquit Museum of American Art,
Ogunquit, Maine. |
