Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, John Wolcott was a painter, muralist, cartoonist, lecturer, and writer who taught at the Greenhalge School in Lowell, Massachusetts. He was a student of Charles Woodbury and Denman Ross and earned an A.B. and Ed. M. at Harvard University.
He was president of the National Society of Mural Painters and the Lowell Art Association. His murals are in the Park Square Building in Boston. (showing 424 of 2867 characters). |
