Duane Dishta was born in Zuni, New Mexico in 1946, and has always lived there. Duane's father, Frankie, is Zuni and his mother, Elizabeth is three-quarter Zuni and one-quarter Hopi. Duane and his wife, Margie, have relatives in Polacca, Arizona on the Hopi reservation, where they often attend Hopi dances. Duane also takes part in the Zuni ceremonies every year. When there are no ceremonies taking place, he produces approximately four 24 x 36 painting (showing 500 of 1630 characters). |
