| Muriel Evans Hudson was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on Nov. 5, 1887. Muriel was the wife of Oscar Hudson and a resident of California in the 1920s and 1930s. She initially lived in Santa Barbara where she studied printmaking with Frank Morley Fletcher. Her work includes both oils and wood-block prints in the Japanese style espoused by Fletcher. By the early 1930s she had moved north to Sausalito where she was active until at least 1940. Mrs. Hudson died on Apr (showing 500 of 927 characters). |
