A Latino artist known for painting the backs of people and the fronts of buildings, Salomon Huerta creates shapes that make a strong impression but in his words, "give as little information as possible. It can be read as a head or just as a shape." It has been said of his work, "they expand the possibilities of inventing identity."
Huerta was born in Tijuana, Mexico and was raised in East Los Angeles. He graduated from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena in 1991, and his work fea (showing 500 of 912 characters). |
