I am from The Netherlands, born in Dongen, in the province of North-Brabant. My mother is a De Swart, coming from Dorst. Her father was Janus de Swart, born in 't Ginniken in North-Brabant. Jan de Swart was his brother, so he is my great uncle. Apparently the De Swart boys were placed out of their home after their parents died of the Spanish flue. Jan went to work for a count, who advised him to (showing 500 of 934 characters). |
