All of Liz Wolf's sculptures are guardian-like and are animal, human or
a combination of the two upon which Wolf hopes to impose a spirit,
which will protect the owner.
Wolf grew up in Minneapolis and
graduated from the Lab school on the campus of the University of
Minnesota. She began sculpting in college at Northern Illinois
University and for a brief period at the Art Institute of
Chicago. Wolf earned her MFA from Northern Illinois University in
1974.
