A portrait and miniature painter and engraver, Henry Pelham was born in Boston and died in England, where he drowned in the Kenmare River in 1806. He was the son of portrait painter, Peter Pelham and a half brother of John Singleton Copley, whom he assisted with backgrounds and for whom he posed in Copley's painting, "Boy with a Squirrel".

In 1770, Henry Pelham did an engraving of the Boston Massacre, and later it appeared from angry letters of Pelham to Revere that that Paul Revere had c (showing 500 of 933 characters).
